みやま市(旧瀬高町)にまたがる筑後広域公園は、矢部川の豊かな流れと大地の恵を感じさせる田園地帯の中にあり、車でのアクセスも良好です。

また、平成23年3月に開通した九州新幹線『筑後船小屋駅』は、筑後広域公園区域にある全国の新幹線では珍しい公園の中の駅。

公園、矢部川などとの調和が図られまさに“翠”=緑に囲まれた新しい駅になりました。

The Chikugo Wide-Area Park, which spans Miyama City (formerly Setaka Town), is located in a picturesque rural area that showcases the rich flow of the Yabe River and the fertile blessings of the land. It is also easily accessible by car. Moreover, Chikugo Funagoya Station on the Kyushu Shinkansen line, which opened in March 2011, is uniquely located within the Chikugo Wide-Area Park—making it one of the rare Shinkansen stations set within a park in Japan. Harmonizing with the park and the Yabe River, the station is surrounded by lush greenery, earning it the title of a true “midori” (green) station.
